Dr. Oraib Toukhly is a dedicated clinical psychologist specializing in child, adolescent, and family psychology. With years of experience and a compassionate approach, she helps individuals and families navigate life's challenges and achieve lasting positive change.
Dr. Oraib Toukhly is an American citizen of Palestinian origin from Jerusalem. She grew up in Jordan and immigrated to the United States in 1998.
Dr. OT holds a PhD in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University, as well as two master's degrees from the same institution.
Dr. OT received specialized training at Harvard University in humanitarian response initiatives and received the Dean's Recognition Award from the Psychology Department and the Student of the Year Award in recognition of her commitment to assisting refugees.
Dr. Oraib teaches in PhD and Master's programs in Clinical Psychology and is an Assistant Professor at Nova University. She also teaches at Walden University as a Professor and is an expert in updating the curriculum for psychological testing in the Master's program.
Dr. OT completed postdoctoral training at a developmental delays assessment clinic, where she conducted comprehensive assessments of children suspected of having autism spectrum disorders and other developmental delays.
Moreover, Dr. Oraib worked at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where she provided comprehensive assessments and psychotherapy to patients with psychosis and personality disorders.
Dr. OT worked as an expert witness in the 17th Judicial Court of Broward County, specializing in child trauma and abuse and providing psychological testing in criminal cases.
